Pause & Ponder: What can we learn from the moon?

2/25/20261 min read

The moon teaches us that it’s okay to go through phases and still glow beautifully.

The moon naturally goes through phases — full, half, crescent, new.
Yet we never say the moon is “broken” during a new moon.
It’s simply in a different phase.

That mirrors human life:

Highs and lows

Clarity and confusion

Strength and vulnerability

Growth and pause

Phases don’t reduce worth. They reflect cycles. Human beings are cyclical:

Energy fluctuates

Motivation rises and falls

Emotions shift

Success comes in waves

Expecting constant “full moon” performance leads to burnout.

Accepting phases builds resilience.

Even when the moon looks dim, it still reflects light.

Similarly:

Even during struggle, character shows.

Even during setbacks, growth is happening.

Even in silence, evolution continues.

“Glow” doesn’t always mean loud success.

Sometimes it means quiet strength.
